It was very commented, at the time and until today, of the possible error of strategy of not playing itself for the result, in that game against Italy (defeat for 3x2, that it eliminated Brazil).  Placing the ‘pretty game’ above of the ‘game of results’, after all, the draw would classify Brazil, giving the possibilities of more spectacular games, instead of a bitter declassification.

It is also very argued about fatalities, about the surprise that it was Italy, that was not present a good game in the Cup, have obtained the victory, almost as one ‘it was written’.  What it is known today, is that Italy was not a so great surprise thus, in contrast of that most of the Brazilian press in made them to believe, because it had good players, and a solid tactical project.

The truth, is that a lesson was learned in that Cup, that delayed some years to be assimilated, partially in 1990 and 1994, at last, fully.  A pretty game, does not want to say a not effective game.
